Abstract:
To increase the vibration resistance of a building body which is erected on a sill fixed on a continuous footing 1, by providing the base board and floor bed so as to mutually slide therebetween.
A sill 2 is fixed on a continuous footing 1 and sleepers 5 are arranged on floor posts 4 on floor post footings 3. Thick base boards 6 are fixed on the sills 2 and the sleepers 5 and a floor bed 8 is laid thereon so as to enable it to slide. And the building is erected on the floor bed 8. The floor bed 8 slides on the base boards 6 against the lateral swing of an earthquake to absorb the swinging energy and hence, the load acting on the building is lessened.
