To effectively clean up an inclined wall surface (glass surface) by supporting a robot unit between a pair of running units freely extendable in a vertical direction equipped with a running carriage engaged with a running rail in such a way that it can freely stand up/lie down and providing a cleaning unit extendable in the vertical direction in the robot unit.
The robot unit 12 is arranged between a pair of front and rear running units 11, and the robot unit 12 is mounted on a supporting body 32 provided in the base part 31 of the running unit 11 in such a way that it can freely stand up/lie down. The standing/lying of the robot unit 12 is formed with a hydraulic cylinder provided between the head of the running unit 11 and the robot unit 12. The cleaning unit 13 is mounted on the robot unit 12. The cleaning unit 13 consists of two units 13a, 13b extendable in the vertical direction. The cleaning unit is formed so as to clean up the glass surface with a belt type cleaning brush, and the belt type cleaning brush is supported with a tension roller, a driving roller and an idling roller.
