PURPOSE: To restrain the slippage of sleeve of a sleeve built-up roll by adding fine and uniform ruggedness on one side or both sides of shrinkage fitted surface so that a sleeve which is shrinkage fitted to an arbor isn't caused to slide at work.

CONSTITUTION: By performing sand blasting or shot blasting 3 on one or both surfaces of the grinding finished surface of the sleeve 1 and the shrinkage fitted surface of the arbor 2, sliding resistance between the sleeve 1 and the arbor 2 can be drastically improved. So, deflection that is generated on the sleeve built-up roll or slippage of the sleeve 1 can be suppressed and lowering of thickness accuracy can be drastically improved.
