To obtain a built-up toy by which the variety of shape and color can be enjoyed by providing a base made by forming plural through holes radially in a solid body or a hollow body, the outline of which is like a polyhedron or a sphere, and removably assembling ornamental members formed by a colored element or a light emitting element in the through holes of the base.

A built-up toy 10 is formed by combination of a spherical base 11 and five, for example, colored elements 12 which are removable from the base, and the base 11 is provided with seven through holes 11b bored in a spherical solid body made of synthetic resin in such a manner as to pass through the center of the sphere. The colored element 12 stores a colored liquid 12b in a transparent cylindrical case 12a which has flexibility and is made of synthetic resin, the cylindrical case 12a is a thin tubular case, and the colored liquid 12b is a liquid containing a fluorescent pigment. When the colored element 12 is inserted in the through hole 11b of the base 11, the colored element 12, only one end of which is inserted in the base 11, presents a branch hung-down state, so that the holding attitude of the base 11 is changed or moved up and down, and right and left to change the form of the colored elements 12 in various ways.
