PURPOSE: To obtain a bulb spacer contact spring for a cathode-ray-tube electron gun at a low material cost, without deteriorating the conventional characteristic of an electron gu, by using a round steel bar as a material.
CONSTITUTION: A bulb spacer contact spring 5 is prepared from a round steel bar. A crooked part 5a, which becomes in contact with an interior graphite, is shaped by curving work. A fixed part 5b, which is fixed to a shield cup, is shaped by rolling work. According to this invention, since the bulb spacer contact spring 5 is prepared from a round steel bar, which is very easily available at a low cost, and the number of shaping processes decreases, the cost reduction of the parts of a cathode-ray-tube electron gun is enabled.
