To provide a bulb, in which crack of an arc tube within a mold by the pressure of a resin injected thereto can be prevented at the time of integrally molding an end part of a glass tube, an electrode-side power supplying means and a resin-made holder, and also preventing leakage of the injected resin from a clearance between the mold and the arc tube.
The bulb is a cold cathode lamp comprising the arc tube 5 having the end of the glass tube 11 having an electrode 2 airtightly sealed therein by heating, and the power supplying means for supplying power connected to the electrode 2. The bulb comprises the resin-made holder 40 integrally molded of a polyamide resin so that the end part of the glass tube 11 including a part with a small outer shape dimensional tolerance on the center side of the glass tube 11 and one end part of the power supplying means 2 on the electrode 2 side are enclosed therein.
