Abstract:
To manufacture a hollow strength member easily by bulge forming, whose circumferential wall thickness varies corresponding to required strength and stiffness.
A pipe material 1 with uneven wall thickness is prepared, whose variation of circumferential wall thickness almost corresponds to a variation of circumferential wall thickness required for a product. While the pipe material 1 with uneven wall thickness is axially compressed, liquid is pressured into the pipe to bulge-form a middle portion into a designated shape to manufacture the hollow strength member 2.
