To provide a staple fiber nonwoven or knitted fabric slightly causing production trouble during fiber spinning, spinning or further dyeing and having not only pill resistance but also soft bulkiness in combination and excellent bulkiness.
The bulky staple fiber woven or knitted fabric is a woven or a knitted fabric composed of a ring spun yarn containing low-shrinkable fibers having ≤4% shrinkage percentage in boiling water (according to JIS L 1015) and copolyester fibers having ≥1 protruding parts on the outer periphery of the hollow cross section having ≥8% percentage of hollowness or the fiber cross section having ≥1.8 degree of modified cross section. The copolyester fibers in the ring spun yarn have 10-60 mass% content and are heat shrunk. The pill resistance is ≥3 class.
