An automated guided vehicle is fitted with a contact shoe 21 with length that covers the length of a long-sized body, and mounted with an obstruction detecting means 7 actuated by the displacement of the contact shoe 21, and a turning driving means 8 for rotating the obstruction detecting means 7 along with the contact shoe 21. This turning driving means 8 is formed of a hydraulic cylinder 11, and a second operating member 14 is rotated in a specified direction around a shaft 6 as the rotational center by the expanding/ contracting action of a rod of the hydraulic cylinder 11. This torque is transmitted to a cam 10 through round bars 18, 20 and a spring so as to rotate the contact shoe 21, a first operating member 10 and the obstruction detecting sensor together.
