Abstract:
PURPOSE:To know a time of replacement exactly, by a method wherein a layer sectioned by colors for strata is provided in the direction of depth in a mortar block so that the color of the whole or a part of the surface of the block be varied sequentially in accordance with the degree of wear of the mortar block. CONSTITUTION:A layer 2 sectioned by colors for strata is provided in a buried block (mortar block) 1, in the direction from the surface side to the depth thereof. A platinum resistant element of a road thermometer 3 is protected in a protective tube and connected to a cable 4. As for a method for sectioning by colors in the block 1, blocks sorted with colors are made of resin having the same hardness as shores pound and are inserted simultaneously with a platinum temperature-measuring resistor, which is the road thermometer 3, when the buried block is manufactured. Accordingly, the color of the whole or a part of the surface of the block is varied sequentially in accordance with the degree of wear of the block 1. The degree of wear of the surface of the mortar block can be determined easily from a change in colors, and therefore a time of replacement can be determined exactly therefrom.
