Abstract:

To provide a burner and a method of treating wastes by ultrahigh-temperature combustion, capable of achieving ultrahigh-temperature combustion of 2000°C or more to treat harmful substances such as dioxin and asbestos.

This burner comprises a plasma gas producing means 10 for plasmizing a mixture gas by applying a voltage to the mixture gas prepared by mixing a fuel and the air, producing a plasma gas in which cation and electron are mixed, and sucking the electron in the plasma gas, a magnetic field generating device 20 generating magnetic field in a flow channel in which the cation gas remaining after suction of electron flows, and collecting the cation gas to one shaft in the flow channel, and an ignition means 30 for igniting the collected cation gas.
