The burner has a liquid fuel injection port 11o and a plurality of gaseous fuel injection ports 11g, wherein the port 11o atomizes the liquid fuel supplied under pressurized state during injection thereof, while the ports 11g are arranged around the port 11o and inject the gaseous fuel in the direction substantially parallel to the injecting direction of liquid fuel from the port 11o. A main flame provided by the liquid fuel injected from the injection port 11o is provided with ancillary flames provided by the gaseous fuel injected from the plurality of injection ports 11g.
