To provide a burner nozzle made of a SiC-MoSi2 composite material and having high oxidation resistance and strength at high temp. region and securing stable use over a long period of time and to provide its production method.
(1) The burner nozzle made of the SiC-MoSi2 composite material has a composite structure formed by infiltrating MoSi2 into a recrystallized SiC sintered body having 15-25% porosity, 0.1-10μm average fine pore diameter and ≥100MPa three-point bending strength at normal temp. and has 0.5-6.0 porosity. (2) In the production method of the burner nozzle made of the SiC- MoSi2 composite material, MoSi2 is infiltrated into the pore of the recrystallized SiC sintered body by heat-treating the material at 1950-2200°C under an atmosphere of ≥0.8atm in an inert gas while allowing MoSi2 to come into contact with a base material which is the recrystallized SiC sintered body produced by (1).
