Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent a sheet from falling off and obtain a well ground surface by a method wherein an abrasive adhered sheet such as sand paper is wound on wire members fitted on the side periphery of a rotating shaft and the end thereof is inserted into a split groove of the rotating shaft and tightly fixed.

CONSTITUTION: The wire members 1A, 1B are tightly fixed at an end of the rotating shaft 2 outwardly in an axial direction, and wound up with a sand cloth 4 which is inserted at the end into the split groove 5 formed in the axial direction and tightly wound with wires to be used. The wire members 1A, 1B try to expand at the gree ends outwardly eccentrically as the rotating shaft 2 revolves, when used, the sand cloth 4 wound up on the polished surface being contacted with the polishing surface and then, contact-slided, separated, acted by the following wire likewise, rubbed by the contacts, touchings, slidings repeatedly carried out, and the satisfactory grinding work is accomplished by the sand cloth 4.
