Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bus system for an ASIC of a point-to-point system of a small currents.
SOLUTION: A bi-directional ring-shaped bus structure is formed on an IC 104 by connecting a conductive bus 102 with M pieces of X: 1 multiplexer modules (M is an integer more than 2) 106-0 to 106-3. Each module is connected through an input and output port to the bus 102. Each module is provided with an output port, arbitration port, and X pieces of input ports. The output port of the (j)th ((j) is an integer more than 0 and less than M-1) module Mj is connected through the conductive bus 102 to [X-1] pieces of input ports on the adjacent (j+1)th module. In this connection of the output port with the input ports, only one input port to be connected is selected according to an arbitration signal flowing in the arbitration port. This constitution is a point-to- point system.
