When checking the existence of a document in a library, a check execution request to which a document ID to be a check object and compartment conditions to be objects of library check are added is transmitted to the server connected via a network in the business terminal. The server has a business database in which check information regarding the document to be the check object is stored, and in the server, for each document ID of the check object, a checked state of the document is determined from the check information of the document on the business database, the compartment conditions and the document ID received from the business terminal, and the business data base is updated and the checked state is displayed on the business terminal as check data.
