Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make it possible to easily and surely form defectless penetration beads even in the case of welding of pipes made of materials, such as stainless steels and inconel, which are easily oxidized by weld heat input by welding, etc.
CONSTITUTION: A plug 18 for sealing is inserted into one piping 6 by using a guiding member 23 from an aperture 22 on the side opposite to the groove 12 of this piping, by which the one piping 6 is closed and successively the supply of an inert gas 11 into a hermetic space 7 from an inert gas supply port 16 disposed at this plug 18 for sealing through an inert gas supply pipe 9 disposed along the guiding member 23 is made possible.
