Abstract:
To effectively control the erosion of a contact region between a valve element and a valve seat.
The butterfly valve 10 has the valve element 12 turnably disposed through a valve rod 15 and the valve seat 13 with which the valve element 12 being in fully closed position makes contact, in a cylindrical valve box 11 in which fluid A flows. In the valve box 11, there is provided a rectifier 14 on the upstream side the valve element 12 being in fully open position so as to rectify the fluid A.
