PURPOSE: To easily and surely butt the grooves of piping by holding the butting parts of piping with an attachable and detachable chain part and a main body part.
CONSTITUTION: A chain part 2 is wound on the cylindrical place in the position of a tube 1, the tip plate of its one end is connected to the chain fixing part of a main body part 3. A linking shaft 22 on the other end side is connected to a chain drawing part, and the length of the chain part 2 is adjusted according to the diameter of piping 1 by tightening a nut. After setting the length of the chain part 2, the chain part 2 and the main body part 3 are wound on the butting part of the piping 1, and an operation lever 35 is allowed to rotate on a chain-drawing member 36 side to tighten the chain part 2. A butting state is attained by respectively holding the outer peripheries of the end parts of both piping by linking plates 21 on both sides of the chain part 2. In this state, a tack welding is performed by using a space part formed by the linking plate 21 and the linking shaft 22 of the chain part 2.
