Japanese Patent JP2013141482
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To reduce noise and vibration while reducing cost.

A buttonhole sewing machine comprises: a needle vertical movement mechanism 50 for vertically moving a needle bar 12; an upper shaft 14 having one end side connected to a sewing machine motor 13 and the other end side connected to the needle vertical movement mechanism 50; a looper mechanism 60 including a pair of loopers for entangling a bobbin thread with a needle thread; a lower shaft 16 for transmitting motive power operating the pair of loopers of the looper mechanism; a vertical shaft 15 rotatably supported by a sewing machine frame and arranged in the vertical direction; a needle swing mechanism 40 for swinging the needle bar by receiving drive power from the vertical shaft; and an interlocking mechanism 95 including bevel gears 96 and 97 which are mounted on the upper shaft and the vertical shaft, respectively, and mesh with each other. The sewing machine motor has an output shaft connected to the upper shaft and rotates simultaneously. The interlocking mechanism transmits rotation from the upper shaft to the vertical shaft while reducing the speed by half.
