Abstract:
To improve the hydrogen corrosion resistance of C-0.5Mo steel.
One or more among 0.3-1.0% Ni, 0.001-0.003% B, 0.01-0.03% Ti and 0.01-0.03% B+Al are incorporated into C-0.5Mo steel contg. ≤0.28% C, 0.10-0.457 Si, $1.0% Mn, 0.40-0.65% Mo, ≤0.045% P and ≤0.045% S. The occurrence of carbides and a metallic texture deteriorating hydrogen corrosion resistance is suppressed and satisfactory hydrogen corrosion resistance is ensured even for a thick material.
