To provide a CO removal catalyst body capable of improving the performance of the CO removal catalyst body utilized for fuel-cell power generation, a production method for the CO removal catalyst body, a hydrogen purification apparatus, and a fuel cell system.
The CO removal catalyst body 1 causes the CO denaturation reaction for reacting water with carbon monoxide to produce hydrogen and carbon dioxide. The catalyst body 1 contains a catalyst carrier having cerium-zirconium mixed oxide and zirconium oxide, and a prescribed noble metal supported on the catalyst carrier. The average diameter of cerium-zirconium mixed oxide particles is larger than that of the zirconium oxide particles. The average diameter of the zirconium oxide particles is larger than that of the prescribed noble metal particles. The prescribed noble metal is supported more on the further outside of the catalyst carrier.
