To provide a cabinet for an air conditioner for reliably locking a grill and the cabinet for the air conditioner to prevent the operation inferiority of a detecting switch, and the air conditioner provided with the cabinet.

The cabinet for the air conditioner is provided with: a panel 13 arranged in a cell and having a suction opening on the center part; the grill 17 arranged on the suction opening with a locking part 16 from the lower face of the panel 13; the detecting switch 21 operated by locking the panel 13 with the grill 17; a magnet or a magnetic body provided on the panel 13; and the magnetic body or the magnet facing the magnet or the magnetic body and provided on the grill 17. The magnetic body and the magnet are provided in a neighborhood of the detecting switch 21.
