To provide a cabinet which enables the release of the latched state even when holding any part of a handle provided along the edge part of a sliding door and enables the opening and closing of an opening of a main body of the cabinet irrespective of the build and usage of a user.

The cabinet is equipped with the sliding doors 2 for opening and closing the opening of the main body 11 of the cabinet by sliding in the direction of the width of the opening and the handle 3 placed operationally all along the edge part of the sliding door 2. A latch mechanism 4 for mooring the sliding door 2 to the main body of the cabinet is provided at a prescribed position on the handle 3, and the mooring state of the latch mechanism 4 is released associated with an operation of the handle 3.
