To provide a cabinet which enables appropriate coexistence of a lock device with a latch mechanism without the mutual interference.
The cabinet is equipped with drawers 2 on a main body 1 of the cabinet. The drawer 2 is moved to a closed position, is secured to the main body 1 with the latch mechanism 4, and is equipped with the lock device 5 to lock the drawer 2 at the closed position. The lock device 5 is provided with a pair of activating bodies 52 for selectively locking the drawer 2 to the main body 1 at positions below and apart from the drawer 2 and is constituted by connecting the activating bodies 52 with an interlocking rotary shaft 50. The latch mechanism 4 supports a handle 3 rotatably to match the centers of the rotation of the handle 3 and the interlocking rotary shaft 50 so that the latch mechanism 4 is activated by an rotary operation of the handle 3 which is an operational end.
