Abstract:
To provide a cable composition which improves flexibility of a cable during combustion and makes remaining ceramics to be hardly broken into fine pieces.
The cable composition is formed of silicone elastomer containing glass fibers having the average length of at least one meter. In this cable composition, mechanical characteristics of the silicone elastomer, e.g. tear resistance, is improved, and furthermore a ceramic having the electrical insulation and the mechanical resistance is formed by combustion of the silicone elastomer having glass fibers during combustion. The glass fiber is incorporated into the ceramic to reinforce it, thus the ceramic is hardly broken.
