To provide a cable cover stripper capable of reducing a work load by making it possible to operate to select the necessity of an auxiliary blade with the stripper being attached to the cable.
A cable cover stripper strips a cover from a cable lead wire by making blade tips 35a of a pair of auxiliary blades 35 cut into the cable cover by hooking and turning the stripper around the cable, and also making a main blade parallelly cut into the cable cover. The auxiliary blade 35 is supported by a step part 31a moving freely forward and backward between an operation position P1 where the blade tip 35a cuts into the cable cover and a retracted position P2 where the blade tip does not touch the cover, and is positioned by a side pin 51 being guided by a guide hole 52. The auxiliary blade 35 moves to a retracted position by inserting a separating tool between a movable triangle piece 55 at the tip of the pin and a fixed triangle piece 56 at a fixed side, while the auxiliary blade 35 moves to the operation position by the movable triangle piece 55 being gripped together with the fixed triangle piece.
