PURPOSE: To provide an easy-to-handle cable gripper in which cables and cable holes of different diameters can be dealt with using one type of cable gripper while facilitating the work.

CONSTITUTION: The cable gripper comprises a plurality of cable gripping parts 21, 21,... arranged at a constant interval in the peripheral direction on the outer peripheral surface of a cable 1, a band 22 being wound around the cable 1 and the gripping parts 21, 21,... in order to secure the gripping parts 21, 21,... to the outer peripheral part 1a of the cable 1, and a pair of annular clamping parts 23, 23 for securing the gripping parts 21, 21,..., while clamping, to a closure for jointing the cable. The gripping part 21 comprises a pressing part 24 having a plane butting against the outer peripheral surface 1a of the cable 1, and a fixing part 25 projecting outward from one end of the pressing part 24 wherein a plurality of protrusions 31, 31 are provided on the plane.
