Abstract:
To provide a cable or the like having excellent cut-off performance.SOLUTION: A metallic cable 30 mainly consists of, in order from inside, a plurality of coat conductors 31, a press winding tape 37, a laminate tape 1 and an outer cover 17. The outer cover 17 is provided around the laminate tape 1 to surround it. The outer cover 17 is made from a polyethylene with a density (930 kg/m3 or more), which is equal to or higher than that of middle-density polyethylene, more desirably made from a high-density polyethylene (942 kg/m3 or more). Forming the outer cover 17 from the polyethylene with higher density than that of the middle-density polyethylene (MDPE) brings the temperature suitable for extrusion of the MDPE close to the bonding temperature range of a resin layer 5 of the laminate tape 1, allows the resin layer 5 to be bonded to the metal layer 3 at a lap part 23, and enables sealing a cable core 25.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
