Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable outer casing peeling unit and a peeling method in which an external outer casing is removed at relatively high speed and high accuracy, and safety property of a work is improved.SOLUTION: A cable outer casing peeling unit comprises: a frame 11 constructed so as to hold a cutter mechanism 12A, 120A, 12B, and 120B that houses a transmission cable 2 including an external side layer as a plurality of external casings arranged in the circumference of an inner side sheath surrounding a plurality of conductors, and includes at least one of cutting tools 12A and 12B arranged so as to be cut to the external side layer of a cable; a vertical direction feeding mechanism 13 constructed such that the frame 11 progresses in parallel with respect to the cable; and a rotation mechanism constructed such that the frame 11 rotates with respect to the cable.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
