A shifter 2 is mechanically connected to a reel 1 for synchronous movement so as to prevent the generation of positional displacement of the shifter due to a detection error of shifter position by skip and vibration of a cable. An optical sensor 3 detects the arrival of the cable to a central part of the reel, and detects the shifter position with this timing, and corrects a difference between the shifter position and the cable position with a servo motor 8. Driving force for the servo motor is transmitted through a differential gear 9 so as to enable the correction of the shifter position while maintaining the movement of the shifter synchronized with the reel rotation.
