PURPOSE: To securely retain in an electronic device device-to-device cables directly connected to electronic assemblies in an electronic device and to easily secure a space for inserting and extracting electronic assemblies during their replacement.

CONSTITUTION: A U-shaped cable retaining structure having an L-shaped cable retainer 3 is supported by a post 2 fixed on a casing 6 via hinges 4 and hinge fixtures 5. A device-to-device cables 10 directly connected to an electronic assembly 7 has the joint to a cable connector 9 supported by a cable retainer 3. Releasing the engagement of a cable socket 8 with a cable connector 9 to remove a hinge fixture 5 allows the cable retaining structure 1 to rotate up to a position perpendicular to the post 2, thereby forming a space for inserting and extracting the electronic assembly 7 into and from the rear of its cable socket 8.
