To enable the user to quickly perform the work of ripping the neck of a cable safely and certainly at a high place by sliding a ripping edge along the above neck while catching the joint (neck) between a cable wire and its supporting wire simply and certainly with the guide rollers of a manual pliers-type ripper.
In this cable ripper, the heads of opening/closing arms 1 and 1 are pivoted (1'), and a supporting piece 4, which has two pieces of guide rollers 3 and 3, is supported freely along the tip extension of one holding arm 1, and the tip extension 2' of the other holding arm 1 is hooked, and its tip is provided with a ripping edge 5 which faces the middle between the above guide rollers 3 and 3, and a short bar 6 facing the above one tip extension 2 is pivoted on the above pivot 1', between both the tip extensions 2 and 2', and two pieces of guide rollers 3' and 3' corresponding to the above guide rollers 3 and 3 are provided along the short bar 6, and above short bar 6 and the above hooked tip extension 2' are supported openward by a spring 7.
