To provide a cable stripping tool capable of easily replacing a cutting unit.

This tool has the cutting unit having cutting devices which mutually co-work between clamp jaws. One end of the mechanism of the unit is connected with a hand-grip leg of the tool, and the other end is connected with a pull-rod connected with the clamp laws and the cutting unit. When the jaws are closed, the mechanism engages a clamp device and the cutting unit with a cable, then pulls the pull rod, and keeps engagement between the clamp device and the cable by continuously closing a leg of a tool handle. The pull rod has a pin which is freely protruded in the perpendicular direction to a dynamic flat surface of the clamp jaw engaged with a corresponding opening of the cutting unit. The cutting unit has an adjacent part which has a latch device for latching an arm in a chain closing condition of the arm by limiting a stripping length movable in the longitudinal direction of the tool.
