Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the jamming of a cable tie caused by a blockage in a tool-carrying pipe by preventing the positioning of the next cable tie by detecting the existence of the blockage in the carrying pipe.
SOLUTION: A blockage-detecting mechanism 25 is roughly arranged between a receiving drum 18 and an entrance area 30 of a tool-carrying pipe, and a control circuit is provided with a block assembly 28, an air inlet 36, paired pressure tap holes 44 and 46, and a pressure regulator of a connecting section. A user can obtain the measured value of a differential pressure, which indicates the presence of an blockage in the carrying pipe before loading a cable tie 20 in the pipe and discharge the tie 20 by positioning the block assembly 28 and the tap holes 44 and 46 of the connecting section and the circuit of a controller 35. When a blockage exists, the differential pressure at an orifice becomes lower than that when no blockage exists. The controller 35 receives and checks differential pressure information from the tap holes 44 and 46 and controls the actuation of a cable tie attaching tool in accordance with the information.
