To improve a step portion between a neck and a cable tie head.
A strap comprises a first end that forms the neck, a free and opposing the first end, and a middle part. The strap has cross section defined by a width B1 and a thickness T1. The cable tie head is fixed in a neck region of the strap at the first end, has a width E wider than the width B of the strap, and comprises a strap insertion passage that holds a latch unit. The strap insertion passage has a dimension for accepting the free end of the strap. The neck has: a width that varies from the width B to a width E' equal to the width E and a thickness T2 thinner than T1; tensile strength equal to that of the middle part of the strap; and a cross section at least substantially equal to the cross section of the middle part of the strap. A type of a cable tie of which the neck is bent can be applied to the cable tie. The neck has a recessed passage formed of a thin-thickness T2 side and a thickness-increased side.
