PURPOSE: To provide a cage room for an elevator capable of corresponding to a design of the cage room formed into multiplicity by eliminating necessity for opening/closing inside the cage room of a return panel at the time of inspecting an operating button.

CONSTITUTION: In a surface plate 16, operating buttons 6 are mounted, and in a sectional surface, one-sided bracket-shaped members 24A, 24B are fixed along a horizontal direction in two upper/lower parts in a reverse surface. An inlet pillar is turnably supported to a strut 18A and engaged with an end part of the surface plate 16 through a key. A bracket 25 along a horizontal direction corresponding to the member 24B of the surface plate 16 is fixed to a strut 18B. Between an upper panel 21 and the member 24A, between the bracket 25 and the member 24B and between the member 24B and a baseboard 12, a slide rail 26 is respectively provided, and the surface plate 16 is movably supported to a gate side of a cage room.
