This cage 1 for the tapered roller bearing has a small diameter side annular part 7, a large diameter side annular part 8, and a column part 10 forming a pocket 6 by connecting the small diameter side annular part 7 to the large diameter side annular part 8. An annular recessed part 11 being a lubricant holding part is formed in the small diameter side annular part 7. The annular recessed part 11 is formed on an end surface 7A in the axial direction of the small diameter side annular part 7. The cage has a lubricant supply passage 12 opening in the pocket 6 by passing through into the column part 10 from the annular recessed part 11. A lubricant held in the annular recessed part 11 is supplied to the pocket 6 from an opening 13 of the column part 10 by moving to the large diameter side from the small diameter side in the lubricant supply passage 12 by centrifugal force in rotation.
