PURPOSE: A kind of cake that contains a sheet of chewing gum as the core ingredient, thus having high drying and perishing resistance, easy-to-handle property, good taste and being useful for preventing tooth decay.

CONSTITUTION: Both sides of a sheet of chewing gum are coated with a kind of cake mainly consisting of ice cake, chocolate or sweet bean jam ("anko" in Japanese) or a cake base material itself such as the sponge ingredient in sponge cake directly, under refrigeration or hot molten state. Then, the coated product is cut into an appropriate size, when necessary, they are aged and integrally molded. The resulting cake is packed in vessels and stored to increase the resistance to perishableness and drying, and handlability.
