Abstract:
A binder for preparing resin coated, flowing and dry moulding compsns. comprises a liq. phenol resin binder (I) contg. nitrogen, solvent and opt. other additives. It may contain nitrogen contg. cpds. e.g. urea, triazines, morpholine, guanidine and their derivs. on Mannich bases or may be condensed with N contg. cpds., e.g. NH3, diphenylhydrazine or aliphatic amines. The binder is used in casting moulds but contains no hexamine hardner which releases NH3 and HCHO.
