Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a novel catalyst system and a method of producing an ethylene/α-olefin copolymer using the catalyst system which copolymer has excellent particle properties, good homogeneity in composition, and a high mol.wt. and is excellent in weatherability, colorability, transparency, corrosion resistance, and mechanical properties.
CONSTITUTION: The catalyst comprises a solid catalyst component and at least either of an organometallic compound and an aluminoxane, the component comprising an organometallic compound, an aluminoxane, a porous inorganic support, and a titanium compound having at least one Ti-N bond.
