Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aqueous gel containing a highly transdermally absorbable calcium and useful as a raw material for producing cosmetics or medicinal additives, by mixing an aqueous solution of alkali-neutralized salt of alkyl acrylate copolymer or alkyl acrylate-methacrylate copolymer with calcium hydroxide.
SOLUTION: This aqueous gel is obtained by adding an appropriate amount of calcium hydroxide to an aqueous solution of alkali-neutralized salt (e.g. of potassium hydroxide, triethanolamine) of alkyl acrylate copolymer (carboxyvinyl polymer) or alkyl acrylate-methacrylate copolymer. The objective cosmetic containing a highly transdermally absorbable calcium is obtained by incorporating a cosmetic with the above gel at 0.01-99 wt.% based on the whole amount of the final cosmetic.
