To provide a material which is to be blended into a cosmetic composition having UV-B blocking ability, while having high transparency without taking on a blue tinge.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a powder which is to be blended into a cosmetic composition and is composed of a calcium titanium composite oxide, having an average particle diameter of 25 nm to 110 nm. It is preferable that the powder is blended into a cosmetic composition in such an amount that the content of calcium titanium composite oxide in the cosmetic composition is 300 g/kg or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
