Abstract:
To obtain a calculation result having high correlation to rolling resistance of an actual tire.SOLUTION: A method for calculating rolling resistance of a tire including tread rubber having frequency dependency of a viscoelastic characteristic is provided. This method includes: a step S1 of inputting a tire model including a tread rubber model to a computer; a process S3 of inputting the viscoelastic characteristic distribution showing a relationship between the viscoelastic characteristic and a frequency; a step S5 of determining a first strain distribution showing the relationship between strain of the tire and a rotation angle of the tire corresponding to the stain by the computer; a step S6 of determining the first frequency distribution showing the relationship between a strain width and a frequency; a step S7 of identifying a first viscoelastic characteristic that is relatively largely affected by the strain width from the viscoelastic characteristic distribution; and a step S8 of calculating rolling resistance of the tire based on the first viscoelastic characteristic and the first strain distribution.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
