Abstract:
To improve calculation accuracy of a damage amount of a secondary battery by taking into account a salt concentration of an electrolyte held in an electrode body of the secondary battery.SOLUTION: When a damage amount D of a battery is calculated (from S1 to S3), a battery ECU executes processing for correcting the calculated damage amount D (from S4 to S8). The battery ECU calculates a salt concentration difference ΔK between a salt concentration of a held electrolyte and a salt concentration of an excessive electrolyte (S4). The battery ECU calculates a liquid amount E2 of the excessive electrolyte (S5). The battery ECU uses the salt concentration difference ΔK and the liquid amount E2 to calculate a salt concentration change amount ΔK1 of the held electrolyte (S6). The battery ECU uses the salt concentration change amount ΔK1 to calculate a salt concentration K1 of the held electrolyte (S7). The battery ECU uses the salt concentration K1 of the held electrolyte to calculate correction amounts of a decrease term and a generation term of a damage amount D and corrects the damage amount D (S8).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
