Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the changeover time of calender rollers by narrowing the interval between two grasping means releasing the clamping of the calender rolls by increasing the interval between the grasping means and engaging the respective terminals of other one separate calender rollers with two grasping means.
SOLUTION: A calender processing apparatus 302 has first and second rotatable supports 314, 316 aligned with each other in an axial direction and calender rollers 350, 352 are clamped so as to be rotatable between the supports. Herein, the clamping of the rollers 350, 352 is released by increasing the interval between the first and second rotatable supports 314, 316 to detach the rollers 350, 352. By narrowing the interval between the first and second supports 314, 316 and engaging the respective terminals 357, 358 of other one separate rollers 350, 352 with the first and second supports 314, 316, the separate calender rollers 350, 352 are clamped between the first and second supports 314, 316.
