PURPOSE: To perform calibration that the generation of a calibrating signal and the observation of waveform are automatized by making operation by an operator only initialization.

CONSTITUTION: The calibrating signal is transmitted from a calibrating signal supplying means 5 and is supplied to a device 1 to be calibrated, and line load transmitting the calibrating signal is changed by the calibrating signal supplying means 5. And at least a switch 3 provided on the device 1 to be calibrated is operated by a switch operating mechanism 20. In this case, the selection and the control of the calibrating signal and the control of the switching operation are executed by a calibrating controlling means 34. The waveform displayed on the screen of the device 1 to be calibrated is picked up in terms of image by an image pickup device 40, and a calibrating decision means 50 decides whether the waveform in image data obtained by image-pickup satisfies specification or not.
