Title:
CALIBRATING METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MAGNETIC FLOW DETECTING APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03134555
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To perform calibration in a short time and to improve the calibration accuracy remarkably while dispensing with a standard defective sample by impressing the uniform magnetic field as a pseudo leaking magnetic flux to the whole of a linear magnetic sensor from outside.

CONSTITUTION: When a power source device 23 is manipulated to supply an exciting current I to an exciting coil 22b of a calibrating magnetic device 22, a magnetic field is generated in the periphery of a work 22a. The same magnetic field is impressed to all of the magnetism sensitive elements constituting a linear magnetic sensor 7 in a magnetic fault detecting apparatus 11 confronting to an upper surface 22c of the yoke 22a. Therefore, each magnetism sensitive element detects the uniform magnetic field as a leaking magnetic flux resulting from a fault, and sends a fault signal corresponding to the intensity of the magnetic field to a signal processing circuit 17. The signal processing circuit 17 shapes the waveform of the fault signal from the magnetism sensitive element and sends to a data processing device 18. The data processing device 18 converts each fault signal from the magnetism sensitive element to data of the size of the fault. The data is displayed at 19. Accordingly, calibration is conducted in a short time.
