PURPOSE: To make apparatus constitution simpler and smaller in size by changing the operations of devices for analysis thereby making disposing of liquid for calibration possible.
CONSTITUTION: Samples are dispensed from a sample dispenser 4 into reaction vessels 1 which are successively transferred. A prescribed reagent is dispensed into the samples from a reagent dispenser 7, and the resultant specimen liquid is measured by photometric devices 12, 13, whereby the components in the samples are analyzed. In this case, at the time of calibrating the devices 12, 13, one of the dispensers 4, 7 is used for dispensing of light-transmittable diluting liquid simultaneously with dispensing of the sample/reagent and the reaction vessels 1 are washed with the light-transmittable washing liquid by a washer 19. Then, the light-transmittable liquid for the purpose of making calibration of the devices 12, 13 is obtained by injecting the diluting liquid simultaneously from the dispenser 4 or 7 or injecting the washing liquid from the washer 19.
