To provide a radio buoy call response system for specifying the position of GPS information of a target radio buoy separated remotely from a base station through intermediate buoys of a group, and a method thereof.
In the call response system of this invention, a selection call signal transmitted from a base station (a ship) is composed of encoded signals having a plurality of continuous IDs, in the case where a target buoy No. 5 adaptable to a target ID included in the selection call signal does not respond to the selection call signal, other radio buoys belonging to a group of the base station can sequentially respond to the selection call signal in a predetermined tine interval to transmit a transmission signal with an individual ID of a time series showing its own location added after the plurality of IDs, the target buoy No. 5 transmits a specified transmission signal including its own individual ID and GPS information, and the base station receives GPS position information of the target buoy No. 5 through an intermediate radio buoy No. 2.
